Well…So this right here is my first ever post (fingers crossed).
well I guess from the title of the site you can kinda guess what we’re aiming towards- thats right folks vid-e-ya-game news n’ chatter (and maybe a bit o food gossip too?) I guess I should really leave it to Lou to introduce the site properly which I hope he will do at a later date!
So this right here is my first ever post and as it is the first post I shall start with some sort of introduction to my current gaming status, and it goes a lil’ something like this…
It was the 6th August, a Sunday, and as per usual I was feeling like killing some random people so I switched on my 360 (a thing I do to mainly keep these murderous hands busy..). I put in Rainbow Six Vegas and logged into the xbox live multiplayer *Creeeeaxh* the screen went into a checkered spasm. My jaw dropped, I said to myself “I’ll just turn it off, wait a few and hopefully all will be fixed when I return”. Cup of coffee and a rich tea biscuit later I returned, switched on the console and was greeted by those infamous red flashing rings…. PS2 anyone?
So now I’m slumming it with that dusty hoe of a PS2 that has stood idle ever since the day Bill and I gave birth to our 360. I gotto tell ya- I really miss the hell out of achievement points, just that tiny bit of ‘yeahh you rock! heres some points so you can show other gamers just how little you live your life’. I have also returned to the realms of Azeroth (aka The World of Warcraft)- this is mainly down to a friend cohersing me into it- It was kinda like when a long term girlfriend breaks up with you- you go out with your friends, and one of your friends ends up thinking he’s doing a favor by bringing the ugliest girl in the room to you to try and make you feel like there are other fish in the sea. So yeah World of Warcraft, much like the ugly girl, is good for a night when you’re feeling fragile and down on your luck (and probably drunk). To me the only thing that is making me want to play it more is the promise of how cool it is in later levels. (Although they may be lies..)
But for now I must go and make some food before I start gnawing at my keyboard again!
